Description:
The island of Dragonera, whose silhouette resembles a dragon on the sea, is a magnificent protected natural park in Majorca, accessible only by boat.
In its wild state, it harbors only ancient farm buildings and three lighthouses that have traversed history. With its peak reaching nearly 400 meters, it stands majestically off the coast of Majorca, offering splendid views of the deep blue sea.
Dragonera is uninhabited; wildlife and flora flourish freely, hosting a population of thousands of small lizards, a unique species found only on this island. They are not shy, and you may encounter them throughout your hike.
Our guide, an engaging biologist, leads you along nature trails, revealing many secrets along the way.
Departing from San Telmo, during the pleasant 20-minute crossing, you'll admire the spectacular views of Dragonera in its entirety. On the island, you'll visit the Llebeig Lighthouse, a watchtower built in 1580. The trail has little elevation gain and crosses a large part of the island.
At the foot of the lighthouse, you'll enjoy a delicious picnic composed of typical Majorcan gastronomy products while admiring the spectacular views of the sea before returning.
